Stage 1 Program
This stage provides a safe environment for your swimmer to be exposed to introductory swimming skills such as correct flutter kick technique and the development of correct freestyle technique.
As this stage has prerequisite skills, if your child has not had an assessment and been instructed to move to this stage or if you are a new student from another swim school please book a free new student assessment.
Stage 2 Program
This stage introduces your swimmer to correct freestyle breathing technique in a supportive and encouraging environment, whilst also extending their stroke abilities on their back by the introduction to survival backstroke kick technique and back flutter kick.
Stage 3 Program
This stage is aimed at the introduction and mastery of strokes such as survival backstroke, backstroke and breaststroke kick, whilst also nurturing the continued development of freestyle across an extended distance.
Stage 4 Program
This stage increases your swimmers understanding of breaststroke by the introduction of new elements such as breathing and timing to their already sound understanding of the kick, whilst also extending the distance and stroke ability in their well known strokes such as freestyle, backstroke and survival backstroke.
Stage 5 Program
These stages have been put together as they both incorporate the introduction of continuous distance swims with development of high technical ability in previously learned strokes such as breaststroke and freestyle.
Stage 6/7 Program
These stages foster the continued development of distance swims by challenging your swimmer to complete longer distances than in previous stages. This accompanied by the introduction of correct sidestroke technique and water safety knowledge such as the basic principles of resuscitation, provides your swimmer with increased abilities and knowledge in aquatic environments.
